Kap Meats - Local Meat

OUR STORY

Kapuskasing Meats is a local supplier of fresh, naturally raised beef, pork, poultry and lamb.  All our meat is free of added hormones and antibiotics.  We guarantee that all of our products are raised, fed, processed and packaged in Northern Ontario.  

We raise our animals at the “Old Experimental Farm” in Kapuskasing.  The farm has a long agricultural history in the Great Northern Claybelt.  The region boasts some of the most fertile land in the province of Ontario.

Situated north of the 49th parallel, the farm enjoys very long days in the summer.  The ample moisture, long days and timely rains produces superior grasses for summer grazing and winter feeds.  

Our animals savour the wide open space that summer affords and then take shelter through various structures during the winter.

MEET OUR FARMER

Andrew Gordanier is Kapuskasing Meats’ head farmer.  Born and raised in Shelburne, ON (Dufferin County), he moved to Kapuskasing in 2015.  Husband of Janet, and father to Keith and Emily, Andrew takes great pride in raising the best of the best, from his family to yours.

QUALITY

We only select the best animals.  Our angus and angus cross beef produce exceptionally tender beef.  All our beef is dry aged 21 days.  Our bacon and hams are smoked “old school”.  

We enjoy great working relationships throughout the supply chain to ensure high quality and fair prices for you!

CARE

Animal care is our top priority. We follow stringent care and best management practices. We believe in small herd sizes to ensure that all animals are raised humanely.  All our animals savour the wide open space that summer affords and take shelter through various structures at the farm in the winter.
